Psychology and Family Studies Program Chair

Position Summary

The chair of the Psychology and Family Studies program oversees the administration of the
program, advises students majoring in the program, and carries a full teaching load. These
responsibilities are further outlined below.

Teaching and Advising

  • The program chair position is a full-time, 9-month appointment, and the chair is expected to carry
    a teaching load of 12-15 credit hours per semester.
  • The program chair oversees the academic advising of students majoring in Psychology and Family
    Studies. Advisors provide assistance and counsel with educational planning, career choices,
    personal and spiritual issues. Advisors work with the Registrar and faculty to implement
    interventions for those students with academic concerns.
  • The program chair participates in full faculty meetings.

Administration

  • The program chair oversees program review, which entails an extensive program self-study every
    five years. (A full program review was last completed in 2019-20.)
  • The program chair participates in departmental meetings, working alongside other departmental
    faculty and with the online Psychology program chair.

Required Qualifications

  • MS in Marriage and Family Therapy (Clinical) or MA in Clinical Psychology
  • The ability to integrate psychology and Christianity
  • Organizational skills to promote collaboration and teamwork with the Psychology Department
  • Knowledge of technology common to teaching in higher education
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Collegial attitude with the ability to effectively lead teams
  • Highest levels of integrity and confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Psychology or related field
  • Higher education teaching experience
  • Clinical experience

Dean, School of Nursing and Allied Health

91影视鈥檚 School of Nursing and Allied Health is seeking a leader who can usher the program into its next stage of development. As the School of Nursing and Allied Health is on the cusp of accreditation, Barclay is seeking a dean who wants to invest their expertise, creativity, and passion into something that can have a lasting impact on students and the nursing profession.

Position Summary:

The Dean of the School of Nursing and Allied Health provides strategic, academic, administrative, and operational leadership for the School of Nursing and Allied Health. The Dean is responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, effectiveness, and continued development of nursing and allied health programs in alignment with the mission of 91影视, applicable regulatory and accreditation standards, and current standards of professional practice.

The Dean provides leadership in curriculum development and evaluation, faculty recruitment and development, student success, program assessment, regulatory compliance, accreditation, budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning. The Dean works collaboratively with 91影视 administration, faculty, staff, students, clinical partners, advisory councils, regulatory agencies, accrediting organizations, and community stakeholders to promote excellence in nursing and allied health education.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current, active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or a current, active, unencumbered multistate RN license recognized in Kansas.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing education experience.
  • Working knowledge of Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accreditation and Higher Learning Commission (HLC) standards and Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN) regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in nursing.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in nursing education leadership.
  • Experience with nursing accreditation, state board approval, systematic program evaluation, and prelicensure nursing education.

Professor of Nursing, School of Nursing and Allied Health

91影视鈥檚 School of Nursing and Allied Health is seeking a nursing professor to join its stable of faculty.

Position Summary:

The Nursing Professor is a faculty position responsible for providing high-quality instruction within the School of Nursing and Allied Health. Working collaboratively with program leadership, faculty, students, and clinical partners, this individual delivers classroom, laboratory, clinical, simulation, and/or online instruction; supports curriculum implementation and continuous improvement; advises and mentors students; and contributes to the mission of 91影视 by preparing competent, compassionate, Christ-centered nursing professionals equipped to serve with a ministry-minded approach to patient care.

Dean, School of Nursing and Allied Health

Status:

Full-time

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current, active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or a current, active, unencumbered multistate RN license recognized in Kansas.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
  • Candidates who do not currently hold a graduate degree may be considered for employment if they are enrolled in an accredited graduate nursing program and submit a degree completion plan approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) or more years of experience in nursing education.
